1.20.010 Imprisonment generally.

Persons violating this code may be placed in the county jail at Spokane whenever confinement or imprisonment is necessary, pursuant to the laws of the state and the ordinances of the city, upon the direction of the police judge, the chief of police or any authorized deputy for the city. (Ord. 214 § 1, 1961)

1.20.020 Prisoner regulation.

The prisoners of the city placed in the county jail shall be subject to the same rules and regulations and privileges as prisoners of the county. (Ord. 214 § 2, 1961)

1.20.030 Medical treatment – Reimbursement to county – Emergency removal authorization.

The city agrees to reimburse the county for such medical treatment and dental care and drugs which may be required for the prisoners the city has placed in the county jail, and authorizes the removal of a prisoner for emergency medical treatment. (Ord. 214 § 3, 1961)

1.20.040 Reimbursement to county for custody.

The city shall pay the county for the custody of prisoners of the city at the county jail, pursuant to the current con tract for police services between the city and the county. (Ord. 478 § 1, 1984: Ord. 214 § 4, 1961)
