2.10.010 Established.

Pursuant to RCW 3.30.74, there is hereby established a justice court district in the county, the boundaries of which shall be identical with the boundaries of the county, and the name of which shall be the “Douglas County District Justice Court.” (Prior code § 2.08.010)

2.10.020 Operation—Transfer of proceedings.

The justice hereafter appointed by the board to fill the justice position created by this chapter shall take office May 1, 1972, and all cases, proceedings, and matters pending before justices of the peace of the county shall be transferred to the appropriate court as provided by RCW 3.74.900 on the date. The terms of incumbent justices of the peace of the county shall end April 30, 1972. (Prior code § 2.08.020)

2.10.030 Justice to be elected.

There shall be one part-time justice of the peace to be elected in the justice court district. (Prior code § 2.08.030)

2.10.040 Court commissioners.

There shall be one court commissioner in Bridgeport. (Ord. 86-3 Am. 2: prior code § 2.08.040)

2.10.050 Location—Facilities.

The central office, courtroom, and records of the court shall be located in East Wenatchee, Washington. The court shall sit at East Wenatchee and Bridgeport, Washington; and may in its discretion sit at any other location within the county. (Ord. 86-3 Am. 3: prior code § 2.08.050)

2.10.060 Juror compensation.

The compensation to be paid jurors is set at twenty dollars per day. (Res. dated 10/8/79)
