2.22.010 Established—Powers.

There is created pursuant to RCW 73.08.030 a veterans’ relief committee, to have and exercise all of the powers and functions set forth in the Veterans’ Relief Act, RCW Chapter 73.08, as enacted as of the effective date of the resolution codified in this section and thereafter amended. 2.22.020 Members.

The initial five members of the committee will serve for a term of five years or until their successors are appointed. (Ord. 86-3 Am. 1: Res. dated 11/30/82 (part))

2.22.030 Fund.

The purposes of the Act require dispensing of relief on emergency situations and to accomplish this purpose a petty cash fund within the veterans’ relief account (553-60-31) is necessary. The petty cash sum shall be in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars and vouchered through the county auditor’s office. Expenditures from the fund shall be limited to food and necessities only and vouchered to replenish the fund on an as-needed basis through the county auditor’s office for reimbursement from the veterans’ relief account. 2.22.040 Trustee.

The trustee of the petty cash account shall be named and supervised by the veterans’ relief committee. (Res. dated 11/30/82 (part))
