OPEN RANGE AREA

6.08.010 County is stock restricted area.

A.    It is unlawful to permit livestock of any kind to run at large within an urban growth area.

B.    In the East Wenatchee and Rock Island areas the stock restricted area is expanded beyond the urban growth boundaries to include the following legal description:

The expanded Exclusion Area to the Open Range Area as it relates to the East Wenatchee and Rock Island Urban Areas includes portions of Township 24, Range 20 East; Township 24 North, Range 21 East; Township 23 North, Range 20 East; Township 23 North, Range 21 East; Township 22 North, Range 20 East; Township 22 North, Range 21 East and Township 22 North, Range 22 East, Willamette Meridian, Douglas County, Washington being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the westerly extension of the east – west center of section line of Section 19, T. 24 N., R. 21 E. with the left bank of the Columbia River, thence easterly on said east – west center of section of Section 19 to the easterly right of way line of US 2/97, thence southerly on said easterly right of way to its intersection with the west section line of Section 30, T. 24 N., R. 21 E., thence south on the west section line of Sections 30 and 31, T. 24 N., R. 21 E. to the southwest section corner of said Section 31, thence continuing south 5.5 miles on the west section line of Sections 6, 7, 18, 19, 30 and 31, T. 23 N., R. 21 E. to the west quarter corner of said Section 31, thence east on quarter section line to the center of Section 31, thence south on quarter section line to the south quarter corner of said Section 31, thence east 1.5 miles on the south section line of Section 31 and 32, T. 23 N., R. 21 E. to the northeast corner of Section 5, T. 22 N., R. 21 E., thence south on the east section line of said Section 5 to the northwest corner of Section 9, T. 22 N., R 21 E., thence east on the north section line of Section 9 to a point 1,315 feet west of the section corner common to Section 3, 4, 9 and 10, thence southeasterly to a point which is 320 feet west of the east line of Section 9 and 1,810 feet north of the southerly 1,975 feet of the southeast quarter of Section 9, thence south, parallel to the east line of Section 9, to a point on the north line of the south 1,975 feet of the southeast quarter of Section 9, said point also being on the north line of the “Future Phases” of the Battermann Industrial Park as recorded in Auditors File Number (AFN) 3100556, thence east on said north line to the east line of Section 9, thence south on the section line common to Sections 9 and 10 to the northwest corner of the south 1,485 feet of the west half of Section 10, thence easterly on the north line of the south 1,485 feet of the west half of Section 10 to the northeast corner of the south 1,485 feet of the west half of Section 10, thence south on the center section line of Section 10 to the northwest corner of the south 30 acres of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter, thence easterly on the north line of the south 30 acres of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter to the northeast corner of said south 30 acres, thence south on the east line of the south 30 acres of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter to the southeast corner thereof, said point being the intersection of Grant Road and South Ward Ave, thence east 1.25 miles on the south line of Section 10 and 11 to the northwest corner of Section 13, T. 22 N., R. 21 E., thence south one quarter mile on the west section line of Section 13 to the north sixteenth corner of said section, thence east one mile on the north sixteenth line to the north sixteenth corner common to said Section 13 and Section 18, T. 22 N., R. 22 E., thence east one half mile on north sixteenth line of Section 18 to its intersection with the north – south center of section line of Section 18, thence south 2.2 miles on the center of section line of Section 18, 19 and 30, T. 22, N., R. 22 E. to its intersection with the easterly right of way of Battermann Road, thence continuing south on the east right of way of Battermann Road to its intersection with the north right of way line of SR 28, thence in a southwesterly direction to the left bank of the Columbia River, thence upstream in a northerly direction on the left bank of the Columbia River to the point of beginning.

6.08.020 Open range areas.

6.08.030 Fencing.

All fences between landowners will comply with the laws as set forth in Chapter 16.60 RCW.
