2.60.010 Payment on monthly basis.

The annual salary and any draws therefrom established by the city council for city employees shall be paid in such manner as may from time to time be established by resolution. The same shall be true for moneys earned by any employee of the city, whether permanent, full time or part time, and fulfills the position for which an annual salary is not established by the city council. 2.60.030 Advance payment--Restriction.

No employee shall be entitled to a draw, nor shall the clerk-treasurer be entitled to pay, as to any full-time employee, any sum in any month which would exceed one-half of the sum actually earned by that employee as of the date of the issuance of the draw. (Ord. 825 §3, 1987: Ord. 514 §3, 1971).

2.60.040 Salaries for elected officials.

Commencing with the month of January 1996, and continuing thereafter until modified as allowed by law and pursuant to the provisions of this section, the salaries for the elected officials of the city shall be determined as follows:

A.    Members of the City Council. Such sum as may be established in the annual budget ordinance adopted by the city; provided, that as to any change in salary, such amendment shall be effective only as to councilmembers who take office after the effective date of the budget ordinance. Such monthly salary amount shall be subject to reduction in the amount of twenty-five dollars for each unexcused absence from a meeting held pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.04.010 of this code.

B.    Mayor of the City. Such monthly sum as shall be established in the annual budget of the city; provided, that the sum shall not be decreased during the term of a mayor. (Ord. 948 §1, 1995: Ord. 916 §1, 1993: Ord. 841 §1, 1988).
