10.08.010 Unlicensed vehicles prohibited.

It is unlawful for the owner or person entitled to possession thereof to drive or park upon the streets, alleys or parking strips any motor vehicle, including any trailer, whether or not it is actually attached to a motor vehicle, capable of being licensed as a motor vehicle or trailer by the state, unless the same bears a current valid license as such issued by the state of Washington or by another state or foreign country. (Ord. 472 §1, 1968).

10.08.020 Disabled vehicle--Repairs on street prohibited--Exception.

It is unlawful for any person to make repairs upon any motor vehicle or trailer, licensed or unlicensed, while the same is situated on any public street, sidewalk, alley or parking strip, except for temporary emergency repairs necessary to put such vehicle or trailer in condition so that it may be safely moved. (Ord. 472 §2, 1968).

10.08.030 Disabled vehicle--Removal required.

It is the duty of the owner or person entitled to possession of any disabled motor vehicle or trailer to remove the same from the streets, alleys, parking strips and sidewalks within two hours after the same becomes disabled, or by the following ten a.m. in the event such disability occurs between the hours of four p.m. and the following eight a.m.; provided that, if such vehicle or trailer becomes disabled within the main traveled portion of any street or alley, it is the duty of the owner or person in possession thereof to remove the same forthwith when directed by a police officer. (Ord. 472 §3, 1968).

10.08.040 Violation--Towing of vehicle authorized.

In the event any vehicle or trailer is found upon the public streets, alleys, parking strips or sidewalks of the city in violation of Sections 10.08.010 and 10.08.020, or in the event a disabled vehicle is not removed as required by Section 10.08.030, any employee of the city acting as a police officer may have the same removed by a private towing company at the expense of the owner or person entitled to possession of such vehicle or trailer at the same rate that said company would charge had the request for removal been made by the owner or person entitled to possession, including any storage fees; and the towing company removing such vehicle shall not be required to surrender up such vehicle or trailer unless such charges are fully paid. (Ord. 472 §5, 1968).

10.08.050 Violation--Declared misdemeanor.

Any violation of Sections 10.08.010 through 10.08.030 is a misdemeanor. (Ord. 472 §4, 1968).
