TRAFFIC DURING FIRES*

10.12.010 Vehicles required to park while fire alarm is sounding or fire department is using the street--Exception.

A.    It is the duty of every person driving any kind of motor, motorized or other vehicle, at any time while the fire siren or fire alarm of the fire department of the city is sounding, or while the fire department is using the streets and public ways of the city in running to a fire, to bring such vehicle to a full stop and park the same at the curb, and to maintain such position during the sounding of the fire alarm and while the fire department is using the street or public way where such vehicle is parked, within or without the city.

B.    It is unlawful, during such time and times, for any person driving a motorized or other vehicle to drive the same upon the streets or public ways of the city except when such vehicle is conveying a fireman or fire apparatus to the fire to which the department is responding.
