FACTORY ASSEMBLED STRUCTURES CODE

13.42.010 Title.
This chapter shall be known as the city of Federal Way factory assembled structures code.

13.42.015 Definitions.
“Manufactured home” shall mean a factory assembled structure bearing insignia as a manufactured home.
“Mobile home” shall mean a factory assembled structure bearing insignia as a mobile home.
“Modular” shall mean a factory assembled structure bearing insignia as a modular structure.

13.42.020 Installation standards adoption.
The Washington Factory Assembled Structures Installation Standards, Chapter 43.22 RCW, regulating modular homes, modular nonresidential commercial installations, manufactured homes, and mobile homes, are adopted by reference.

13.42.030 Installation standards amendments.
(1) Buildings constructed and inspected by the Department of Labor and Industries shall apply for building permits following the methods adopted for the IBC and IRC as applicable.
(2) Buildings constructed and inspected by the Department of Labor and Industries shall be issued building permits following the methods adopted for the IBC and IRC as applicable.
(3) Buildings constructed and inspected by the Department of Labor and Industries shall be inspected prior to occupancy following the methods adopted for the IBC and IRC and the manufacturer’s installation guide for the factory assembled structure as applicable.
