10.16.010 General rules and regulations.

The rules and regulations set forth in this chapter are hereby established in connection with the use and operation of the Fircrest tennis courts. (Ord. 551 § 2, 1966).

10.16.020 Etiquette.

The following tennis court etiquette must be observed at all times:

(a) No profane or objectionable language shall be used in violation of FMC 10.12.030;

(b) No leaning against or jumping over nets;

(c) No playing behind courts within fence;

(d) No climbing of fence;

(e) No skates, skateboards or bicycles are allowed inside courts;

(f) No street shoes of any kind on courts;

(g) Only tennis players or those waiting to play are permitted within the fence. (Ord. 1149 § 19, 1997; Ord. 551 § 2(a), 1966).

10.16.030 Restriction of uses.

The following restrictions on use of the courts are hereby imposed:

(a) Play is restricted to two sets or 45 minutes, whichever is shorter, if others are waiting to use courts;

(b) Players over 16 years of age have priority over younger players after 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and after 1:00 p.m., on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays;

(c) Fircrest residents shall have priority on use of the courts at all times over nonresidents, provided nonresidents, having started, may complete their set;

(d) Activities sponsored by the city of Fircrest shall have primary priority as directed by the parks and recreation director. (Ord. 1149 § 20, 1997; Ord. 551 § 2(b), 1966).
