RETURNED PAYMENT COST RECOVERY

2.40.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to recover costs resulting from returned payments. (Ord. 1643 § 1, 2018; Ord. 1128 § 1, 1999)
2.40.020 Returned payment charge.
In the event that any payment in the form of a check, electronic check, or credit card to the town of Friday Harbor is returned, a service charge shall be added to the amount due. Applicable service charges shall be set forth in the adopted town fee schedule. (Ord. 1643 § 2, 2018; Ord. 1128 § 2, 1999)
2.40.030 Payment in lieu of check.
In the event a payment has been returned for any reason, payment shall be made in cash, certified check or money order. (Ord. 1643 § 3, 2018; Ord. 1128 § 3, 1999)
