CIVIL SERVICE

2.60.020 Commission created--Terms--Duties.
2.60.010 System adopted.
The civil service system set forth in Chapter 41.12 RCW is adopted by the city, and all of the details and provisions of Chapter 41.12 RCW are made a part of this chapter as fully as if incorporated herein. (Prior code §2.28.010)
2.60.015 Exempted positions.
The position of chief of police is found to be an administrative policy making and policy formulation position with the department and that position is exempted from the classified civil service of the city. (Ord. 1457 §2(part), 2015; Ord. 1372 §1(part), 2008; Ord. 1101, 1993)
2.60.020 Commission created--Terms--Duties.
There is created pursuant to Chapter 41.12 RCW a civil service commission for the police department of the city. The commission shall be composed of three members and appointed by the mayor of the city. The members of such commission shall hold office as provided in Chapter 41.12 RCW, and shall have and exercise all powers and duties prescribed by Chapter 41.12 RCW. (Prior code §2.28.020)
