CITY TREASURER

The treasurer of the city is required to enter into and execute a good and sufficient bond to the city in the sum of $18,000, conditioned for the faithful discharge of the duties of his office and such offices of which he may be ex officio incumbent, and a true and correct accounting to the city of all moneys coming into his hands for the benefit of or belonging to the city. (1964 code § 1.32.010).
2.20.020 Appointive office.
The city treasurer of the city shall hereafter be appointed by the mayor and the appointment shall be subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the city council all as set forth in RCW 35.24.020, provided the incumbent city treasurer shall serve for the remainder of his unexpired term notwithstanding any appointment made pursuant hereto. 2.20.030 Full-time position.
The office of the city treasurer shall become a full-time position effective the first day of September, 1973. (1964 code § 1.32.025).
