2.38.010 Parks and recreation department supervision.

The community center facility is placed within the supervision of the parks and recreation department of the city and shall be considered a part of the park facilities of the city. (Ord. 2011-8 § 2).

2.38.020 Appointment – Terms.

The community center facility shall be operated and managed under control of the parks and recreation department with advice and consultation of the board of advisors, consisting of seven persons, appointed by the mayor with the approval of the city council. The board shall consist of the following: one member of the city council, two members of the public at large, the current president of the Grandview Senior Citizen Club, a representative of the local American Legion Club, one Grandview High School student and one Grandview Middle School student. The appointments shall be for one-year terms, expiring December 31st of each year. The members shall serve until replacements are named by the mayor. Unexcused absences from three consecutive meetings of the board shall be considered as a resignation from the board and the mayor may appoint a replacement for such person on the board, or any other vacancy occurring on the board. 2.38.030 Duties.

The advisory board shall prepare rules and regulations for the management of the community center facility which shall be submitted to the city council for action, modification or adoption. The board shall also elect a chairperson and vice-chairperson from its members and fix regular times and place of meetings. The rules and regulations as approved by the city council shall be filed with the city clerk and posted in a public place at the facility. (Ord. 2011-8 § 2).
