1.01.010 Adoption.
Pursuant to RCW 35.21.500 through 35.21.570, there is hereby adopted the “Index Municipal Code” as compiled, edited and published by Code Publishing Company, Seattle, Washington. (Ord. 294 § 1, 1991).
1.01.020 Title – Citation – Reference.
This code shall be known as the “Index Municipal Code” and it shall be sufficient to refer to said code as the “municipal code” in any prosecution for the violation of any provision thereof or in any proceeding at law or equity. It shall be sufficient to designate any ordinance adding to, amending, correcting or repealing all or any part or portion thereof as an addition to, amendment to, correction or repeal of the “Index Municipal Code.” Further reference may be had to titles, chapters, sections and subsections of the “Index Municipal Code” and such references shall apply to that numbered title, chapter, section or subsection as it appears in the code. 1.01.030 Codification authority.
This code consists of all the regulatory and penal ordinances and certain of the administrative ordinances of the town of Index codified pursuant to the provisions of RCW 35.21.500 through 35.21.570. (Ord. 294 § 3, 1991).
1.01.040 Effective date.
This code shall become effective on the date the ordinance adopting this code as the “Index Municipal Code” shall become effective and after publication as required by law. (Ord. 294 § 4, 1991).1
1.01.050 Ordinances passed prior to adoption of the code.
The last ordinance included in the initial code is Ordinance No. 293, passed April 1, 1991. The following ordinance, passed subsequent to Ordinance No. 293, but prior to adoption of the code, is Ordinance No. 294. (Ord. 294 § 4, 1991).1
1.01.060 Ordinances excluded from code.
All general ordinances of the town not included in this code or excluded from the operation and effect of this section are repealed, including but not limited to: 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 24, 25, 33, 45, 51, 57, 61, 62, 80, 81, 99, 104, 105, 107, 109, 119, 121, 124, 136, 137, 146, 163, 183, 185, 194, 208. (Ord. 294 § 5, 1991).
