1.10.010 Reduction of fines.

(1) For every day a defendant is incarcerated for nonpayment of fines and costs and performs labor as permitted by the sheriff and not as a community service obligation, said fines and costs shall be reduced by $40.00.

(2) For every day a defendant is incarcerated for nonpayment of fines and costs and does not perform labor, said fines and costs shall be reduced by $25.00. [Ord. 5-93 §§ 1, 2]

1.10.020 Housing fees – Alcohol-related offenses.

(1) In this section, “special detention facility” has the meaning set out in RCW 70.48.020.

(2) Purpose. The purpose of this section is to establish a fee schedule for housing persons convicted of violating RCW 46.61.502 or 46.61.504 in county special detention facilities, as authorized by RCW 70.48.380. The county commissioners find that the fees set out in subsection (3) of this section are reasonably calculated to cover daily housing costs with due regard for ability to pay.

(3) Fee Schedule. A person convicted of violating RCW 46.61.502 or 46.61.504 who is housed in a county special detention facility shall pay a daily housing fee according to the following schedule:

(4) The daily fee set out in subsection (3) of this section shall be assessed for the first two days of detention only. Funds will be collected by jail personnel at booking and turned in to the general fund monthly with work release funds. [Ord. 2-87 §§ 1, 2]
