JUVENILE DIVERSION SERVICES FEES

4.126.030 Financial responsibility – Waiver of fees.
4.126.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize the juvenile department of the Kitsap County superior court to assess fees to cover the costs of the administration and operation of juvenile diversion services as authorized by RCW 13.40.085. (Ord. 499 (2013) § 1 (part), 2013)
4.126.020 Fee schedule.
The juvenile department of the Kitsap County superior court shall prepare and adopt a fee schedule charging no more than $100.00 per case to cover the costs of administration and operation of juvenile diversion services provided under Chapter 13.40 RCW. Collection of such fees shall be the responsibility of the juvenile department. (Ord. 499 (2013) § 1 (part), 2013)
4.126.030 Financial responsibility – Waiver of fees.
Juvenile diversion services fees shall be the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian of the juvenile receiving services. However, no juvenile who is eligible for diversion, as provided in Chapter 13.40 RCW, may be denied diversion services based on an inability to pay for the services. The juvenile department is authorized to implement procedures, for cause, to waive all or part of the diversion fee based on an applicant’s showing of bona fide hardship.
