19.87.010 Violations declared public nuisance.

Any violation of any of the provisions of this title is a public nuisance. (Ord. 1334, 1967).

19.87.020 Violators deemed guilty of misdemeanor – Maximum and minimum fine and imprisonment.

Any persons, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this title is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $10.00 nor more than $300.00 or imprisoned in the city jail for a term not exceeding 30 days for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist constitutes a separate offense. (Ord. 1334, 1967).

19.87.030 Persons responsible for existence of building violations.

The owner of a building structure or premises, where anything in violation of this title shall be placed or shall exist, and any architect, builder, contractor, agent, person or corporation employed in connection herewith and who shall have assisted in the commission of such violation each is guilty of a separate offense and upon conviction thereof shall be fined as herein provided. (Ord. 1334, 1967).

19.87.040 City not precluded by imposition of penalties from instituting action to prevent or abate violations.

The imposition of the penalties herein prescribed shall not preclude the city from instituting an appropriate action or proceeding to prevent any unlawful construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance or use, or to restrain, correct or abate a violation as a public nuisance, or to prevent the occupancy of a building, structure or premises, or to prevent an illegal use, conduct, or business in or about any premises. (Ord. 1334, 1967).
