2.10.010 Duties.

The mayor shall have all duties heretofore set forth in the ordinances of the city of Lynnwood and all duties defined in Chapter 35A.12 RCW (particularly RCW 35A.12.090 and 35A.12.100). (Ord. 684 § 1, 1973; Ord. 650 § 1, 1972)

2.10.020 Full-time position.

The position of mayor shall hereafter be a full-time position such that the mayor shall not accept or hold employment which will prevent the mayor from being available at the city offices during the hours that the city offices are open to the public or which would prevent the mayor from regularly attending council meetings and such additional evening meetings as may from time-to-time be required. 2.10.030 Salary.

A. For the calendar year 2021, the mayor shall receive a salary in the amount that the salary commission has established.

B. Beginning with the mayor’s term of office starting on January 1, 2022, the mayor shall receive a salary in the amount of $9,356.53 per month, with annual adjustments made January 1st each year in the same percentage amount of increase as given to nonrepresented salaried staff, and including that annual adjustment for 2021 and thereafter. 2.10.040 Other benefits.

The mayor shall receive four weeks’ vacation per calendar year and all other benefits as set forth in Chapter 2.48 LMC for nonrepresented full-time salaried positions. (Ord. 3348 § 5, 2019)

2.10.050 Reimbursement of business expenses.

The mayor shall be entitled to receive reimbursement for actual and reasonable business expenses incurred in connection with the conduct of city business, including but not limited to travel and training expenses. The process for reporting and receiving such reimbursement shall be the same as for department directors, subject to review and approval by the finance director. (Ord. 3348 § 5, 2019)
