RECREATION PROGRAM FEES

7.10.010 Recreation program fee policy.

The City Council hereby directs City staff to set recreation program fees per the following fee formula:

A. Fully subsidized “no-fee” programs that have a broad community benefit to a large portion of the population such as Holiday Lights, Independence Day, and Kids Festival;

B. Partially subsidized “reduced-fee” programs that have a blend of community and individual benefit to a small portion of the population such as the senior softball team;

C. Non-subsidized “full-fee” programs that have an individual benefit to a small portion of the population such as the Adult Co-Rec Softball League, Day Camp and Tennis Lessons. (Ord. O-11-482 § 1; Ord. O-07-346 § 1; Ord. O-05-305 § 1).

7.10.020 Authority to set fees.

The City Council hereby authorizes the Parks and Recreation Director to establish fees for recreation programs as outlined in the fee formula in MVMC 7.10.010. (Ord. O-11-482 § 1; Ord. O-07-346 § 2; Ord. O-05-305 § 2).

7.10.030 Policy review and modification.

City staff shall periodically review the recreation program fee policy, fees, and associated costs to determine whether adjustments should be made to this fee policy. (Ord. O-11-482 § 1; Ord. O-07-346 § 3; Ord. O-05-305 § 3).
