TIME AND PLACE OF COUNCIL MEETINGS

2.04.010 When meetings held.
(1) The Marysville city council shall hold regular public meetings on the first, second, and fourth Mondays of each month commencing at 7:00 p.m. Should any Monday fall on a legal holiday, that meeting will be held on the next working day. Provided, the city council shall not hold meetings during the month of August and on the fourth Monday of December. Meetings shall be held in the council chambers at 501 Delta Avenue in Marysville.
(2) The meeting on the first Monday of each month, except for the months of January and September, shall be a workshop. Workshops are intended for in-depth discussion of city business and ordinarily no final action will be taken. If there is no business for which a workshop is needed, the workshop meeting may be canceled.
(3) Special meetings may be called by the mayor or a majority of the council. Notice will be given as required by law and in conformance with the council’s procedures adopted by resolution.
(4) The city council shall adjourn all meetings at or before 11:00 p.m., except that all workshop meetings shall be adjourned at or before 9:30 p.m.; provided, however, the adjournment time for all meetings may be extended to a later time certain upon approval of a motion by a council member.
(5) The Marysville fire district board of directors, of which four directors will be city council members, shall hold regular public meetings on the third Wednesday of each month commencing at 6:00 p.m. Meetings shall be held at Marysville Fire Station 62, 10701 Shoultes Road in Marysville.

2.04.020 Where meetings held.
The regular meetings of the city council shall be held in the city council chambers located on the second floor of City Hall, 501 Delta Avenue, Marysville, Washington; provided, that the city council may adjourn from time to time to meet at any other publicly announced place. 2.04.030 State and federal holidays.
If at any time any regular meeting of the city council falls on an officially recognized state or federal holiday, such regular meeting shall be held on the next business day, and no special notice of such meeting need be given. (Ord. 3236 § 1 (Exh. A), 2022; Ord. 885 § 1, 1976).
