2.74.010 Created.

There is created and established a department of emergency medical services within the governmental structure of the city of Montesano. (Ord. 1238 §1, 1986).

2.74.020 Mayor--Appointment of director.

The department of emergency medical services shall be headed by a director who shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to the approval of the city council. That individual shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor and shall perform such duties as may from time-to-time be established by the mayor, whether related to the emergency medical services of the city or otherwise. (Ord. 1238 §2, 1986).

2.74.030 Mayor--Appointment of members and employees.

The department shall consist of such employees and members as may from time-to-time be designated by the mayor. (Ord. 1238 §3, 1986).

2.74.040 Duties and equipment.

The department shall carry forth such duties as may from time-to-time be established, but specifically including the maintenance and operation of an emergency medical service for the city of Montesano, including such training of individuals, whether volunteer or otherwise, in such services as may be deemed necessary and appropriate or may be required by law. It shall further be equipped with such equipment as may from time-to-time be authorized by the mayor with the approval of the city council, including but not limited to such ambulances and appurtenance equipment as may from time-to-time be possessed by the city.
