RECREATION AND CULTURAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

2.40.010 Established.
There is established a city department known as the Mukilteo recreation and cultural services department, whose duties shall be to manage the city’s parks, recreation, and cultural services facilities and programs, to administer park rules and regulations, and to provide advice and comment to the mayor, city administrator, city council, and other departments on issues affecting parks, recreation, and cultural services. 2.40.020 Recreation and cultural services director—Supervision—Appointment.
The Mukilteo recreation and cultural services department shall be operated under the direction and management of a recreation and cultural services director, who shall be subject to the supervision of the mayor through the city administrator. The recreation and cultural services director shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the city council according to the confirmation process established by council resolution.
