TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS BUREAU

2.56.010 Establishment.

There is established a traffic violations bureau to be directly responsible to city council. (Ord. 208 § 2, 1971)

2.56.020 Head of bureau designated.

The traffic violations bureau shall be headed by a records clerk who shall be the police records supervisor. (Ord. 1242 § 1 (part), 2010: Ord. 208 § 3, 1971)

2.56.030 Funds.

The traffic violations bureau fund which has been created by the finance director shall continue in existence. Into the fund, the records clerk shall deposit all sums received for the violation of any ordinance, by way of fine or forfeiture, and the finance director or his designee is authorized to withdraw, from time to time, moneys from the fund and deposit the same in the general fund of the city; provided, however, that no moneys may be withdrawn from the traffic violations bureau fund until the case for which the funds were accrued has been finally disposed of.
