12.12.010 Numbering.

For the purpose of establishing a coordinated system of house and building numbering all dwelling houses and other buildings within the city are allotted numbers as follows:

A.    Along all streets running east and west those lots on the north side thereof take even numbers and those lots on the south side thereof take odd numbers and a separate number shall be assigned to each twenty-five foot lot. The numbering for each twenty-five foot lot begins at the west end of each block and continues consecutively and progresses higher towards the east end of the block. Each block or equivalent is allotted one hundred numbers in sequence on each street running east and west. All blocks between Webster Avenue and Church Street are allotted the four hundred series; all blocks between Church Street and Washington Avenue are allotted the five hundred series; all blocks between Washington Avenue and Lincoln Avenue are allotted the six hundred series; all blocks between Lincoln Avenue and Park Avenue are allotted the seven hundred series; all blocks between Park Avenue and Loveland Avenue are allotted the eight hundred series; all blocks between Loveland Avenue and Campbell Avenue and Loveland Avenue and Cornelius Avenue are allotted the nine hundred series and all blocks between Campbell Avenue and Randolph and Cornelius Avenue and Prospect Avenue are allotted the one thousand series, and each block to the east in sequence is allotted the numbers eleven hundred, twelve hundred, thirteen hundred, etc., continuing easterly.

B.    Along all avenues running north and south those lots on the east side thereof take even numbers and those lots on the west side thereof take odd numbers under the house numbering system established in subsection (A) of this section. The numbering of each twenty-five foot lot begins at the north end of each block and continues consecutively and progresses higher towards the south end of each block. Each block or equivalent is allotted one hundred numbers in sequence on each avenue running north and south, and each twenty-five foot lot within each block bears a separate number. All blocks between Front Street and First Street are assigned the ten to ninety-nine series; all blocks between First Street and Second Street are assigned the one hundred series; all blocks between Second Street and Third Street are assigned the two hundred series; progressing south each block is assigned in sequence a higher series in divisibles of one hundred, increasing arithmetically with each block and proceeding south.
