REQUIREMENT DEVIATIONS

10.44.010 Request.
(1) Deviations from the requirements of this title on new streets may be requested to alleviate a hardship or to provide access to land where terrain, soil or other obstacles would prevent meeting the requirements of this title.
(2) At the time of granting a street deviation, public safety factors and the number of street accesses must be considered. (Ord. 489 § 1, 1988; Ord. 192 § 11.1, 1967).
10.44.020 Approval.
Upon recommendation of the planning commission and city manager, and upon certification by the city engineer that compliance is impractical, and together with recommended variances, deviations from the requirements of this title may be approved by action of the city council. (Ord. 279 § 2, 1974; Ord. 192 § 11.2, 1967).
