1.12.010 Confinement.

Any person sentenced to imprisonment as punishment for the violation of any city ordi­nance may be confined in the city jail, or in the King County jail, if proper arrangements have been made with and consent given by the appropriate King County authorities. The determination to use the county jail shall be made by the chief of police and shall be based on considerations for the safety and security of the prisoner considering the length and nature of the confinement ordered.
