CURRENT EXPENSE FUND

3.40.010 Petty cash account established.

There is hereby established an account in the current expense fund to be known as the petty cash account in a sum not to exceed $400.00. The account shall be established by issuance of a warrant check drawn upon the current expense fund and cash in the account shall be maintained by the city finance director or his/her successor or designee. Minor sums may be withdrawn from the account for payment or reimbursement of proper receipts and in accordance with state law and regulations of the Division of Municipal Corporations of the Office of the State Auditor. Two cash receipts boxes, also maintained under the direction of the city finance director or his/her successor or designee, are hereby established to hold no more than $150.00 from the petty cash account. The petty cash account shall be replenished upon approval of vouchers by the city council in accordance with usual policy and procedure.
