10.12.010 Unpaved county roads.

The speed limit for all vehicles on unpaved county roads is set at 35 miles per hour unless otherwise posted. (Ord. 96-11 § 2, 1996).

10.12.020 Temporary work zones.

A maximum speed limit as determined by the county engineer is hereby established for those roads or portions of roads in Okanogan County being affected by the following:

A. Freshly applied bituminous surface treatment; or

B. County forces at work; or

C. Private contractor working on a county project; or

D. State forces at work on a state highway; or

E. Private contractor working on a state project;

Provided, such roads or portions of roads are properly posted with signs in accordance with the “Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices” as adopted and amended by the state of Washington. (Ord. 2006-5, 2006; Ord. 97-3 § 2, 1997).
