17.1.1 Fiscal management responsibility

I.    The Chief of Police is responsible for the overall fiscal management of the Department.

II.    The Administrative Services Division Manager is responsible for oversight of the Department’s finances and financial systems.

III.    The City Administrative Services Department is responsible for maintaining a current and accurate accounting of all funds allocated to and expended by the Department.

IV.    Current account status and budget information is through the City’s financial computer system.

V.    The department uses a budget/accounting system specified by the City Administrative Services Department that complies with the Washington State Budget, Accounting, and Reporting System (BARS).
