2.64.010 Established.

A. There is hereby established a petty cash fund in the amount of $75.00 to be administered by the city clerk-treasurer. This fund shall be known as the city petty cash fund and is established for the purpose of making change and for payment of incidental office expenses incurred by the city.

B. There is hereby established a petty cash fund in the amount of $75.00 to be administered by the city clerk-treasurer. This fund shall be known as the water and sewer petty cash fund and is established for the purpose of making change and for payment of incidental expenses incurred in conjunction with water and sewer operations. 2.64.020 Disbursements.

Sums may be withdrawn from the fund for payment or reimbursement upon proper receipts and in accordance with state law and regulations set forth by the office of the State Auditor. The fund shall be replenished upon approval of vouchers by the city council in accordance with usual policy and procedures. [Ord. 695 §2, 1998].

2.64.030 Appropriation of funds.

A. The sum of $75.00 is appropriated from the general fund to the city petty cash fund for the purposes authorized in PMC 2.64.010(A).

B. The sum of $75.00 is appropriated from the water and sewer fund to the water and sewer petty cash fund for the purposes authorized in PMC 2.64.010(B). [Ord. 695 §2, 1998].

2.64.040 Accounting responsibility.

The city clerk-treasurer shall be responsible for moneys deposited into and expended from the respective petty cash funds and shall maintain a record of such expenditures and receipts. [Ord. 695 §2, 1998].
