INTERFERENCE WITH PUBLIC OFFICERS OR PROPERTY*

9.04.010 Water system.

It is unlawful for anyone other than the superintendent of the public water system, or persons under his direction, to tap or connect with any water main, or to place or remove any water pipe, or to place or change or remove any water meter, or to change, alter or tamper with any water main, hydrant, stand pipe or other pipes or the reservoirs, or any sewer pipes or main or any other part of the water or sewer systems of the city. 9.04.020 Fire department.

It is unlawful for any person, without the written consent of the chief, or in his absence or inability, the acting chief of the voluntary fire department of the city, to use, handle, move or otherwise interfere with any of the hoses, couplings, nozzles, hose carts, hook and ladder carts, or any other of the equipment, tools, implements or supplies belonging to the city and used by said fire department, or intended for such use.
