SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL

12.10.010 Snow and ice removal generally.
It shall be the responsibility and obligation of all landowners or persons or entities having the possession or use of property abutting public sidewalks within the city to keep those portions of such sidewalks abutting their respective properties free and clear of accumulations of snow and ice. [Ord. 571 §1, 1984].
12.10.020 Snow and ice removal in business district.
All landowners or persons or entities having the possession or use of property abutting public sidewalks in that area within the city between the Palouse River and Whitman Street, and from and including Mary Street to and including “I” Street, shall at all times keep those portions of such sidewalks abutting their respective properties free and clear of accumulations of snow and ice. 12.10.030 Penalty.
Any violation of PMC 12.10.020, above, shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $25.00, nor more than $500.00. Each day of occurrence shall be considered a separate violation. [Ord. 571 §3, 1984].
