14.16.010 Management.

The Pierce County Executive designates the Pierce County Fair Association, Inc., a Washington nonprofit corporation, as the exclusive agency to operate and manage the annual Pierce County Fair. (Ord. 84-131 § 1 (part), 1984; prior Code § 12.10.010)

14.16.020 Funding.

Payments to the Pierce County Fair Association, Inc., will be made by the Finance Department only upon the receipt of a request for funds from the Pierce County Fair Association, Inc. (Ord. 2017-12s § 2 (part), 2017; Ord. 84-131 § 1 (part), 1984; prior Code § 12.10.020)

14.16.030 Fees.

A.    General Admission (per day):

Adult and Youth (6 and older)    



Children under 6    


Disabled American Veterans with valid Washington State Parks Disabled American Veterans lifetime pass    



Parking (per day)    



B.    Exhibitor Tickets (per day):

All exhibitors and their parents/guardians    

$1.50 per day

Four day wristband    



Numbered tickets or wristbands for Exhibitor admission will be sold prior to noon on opening day of the Fair. The Pierce County Fair Association may require Exhibitor tickets to be purchased through a specific system or process.

C.    County Fair Discounted and Promotion Pricing. The Pierce County Fair Association may offer discounted and promotional ticket pricing. Promotion and discounted tickets and wristbands shall be numbered.

D.    Camping:

Camping for duration of fair (including 4-day parking pass)    



E.    Vendor Spaces*:

*All vendor spaces shall include one 4-day parking pass.

    Applications received after April 30 for rental of booth space at the fair that calendar year may be subject to a $25.00 late fee. The Pierce County Fair Association may, in a manner consistent with Pierce County policies, issue a fee for returned checks or accounts drawn upon with insufficient funds.

F.    Vendor Fee, per 4-day event    15% of gross sales

G.    Parking Passes. The Pierce County Fair Association shall determine the format and form of all parking passes. Parking passes shall be numbered. The Pierce County Fair Association may adopt a policy to waive the parking fee for groups which may include: concessionaires, sponsors, service providers, vendors, judges, superintendents, entertainers, media, active duty military or reserve military, fair volunteers, and staff.

H.    Credit Card Fees. The Pierce County Fair Association may assess reasonable credit card fees for the use of a credit card.
