AIR, PELLET, “BB” GUNS

9.89.010 Carry or use prohibited.

Persons under the age of eighteen are prohibited from carrying or discharging air, pellet, or “BB” guns except upon the person’s own property or upon property he or she has been invited upon as a guest by an adult. When discharging an air, pellet, or “BB” gun; pellets, darts, “BB’s” and other projectiles shall not be fired beyond the property limits.

This regulation shall not apply to unloaded (empty) air, pellet, or “BB” guns or when the person under the age of eighteen is under the supervision of an adult. (Ord. 679 §1, 1991).

9.89.020 Penalty.

It shall be a misdemeanor to fail to comply with PMC 9.89.010. It shall also be a misdemeanor to discharge an air, pellet, or “BB” gun at or toward or by such discharge cause damage to property, persons, or animals except those classified as vermin and not controlled or protected by state or federal regulations.
