18.55.010 Purpose.

The purpose of the PF district is to provide areas for public and quasi-public uses, publicly owned or controlled parks and recreation facilities, and governmental buildings and facilities. (Ord. 1917 § 1 (part), 1997).

18.55.020 Permitted uses.

The following uses are the only uses permitted in PF districts:

A.    All governmental uses and structures;

B.    Hospitals and sanitariums;

C.    Educational institutions;

D.    Parks, playgrounds and recreational areas;

E.    Utility companies;

F.    Accessory uses and structures related to a permitted use. (Ord. 1917 § 1 (part), 1997).

18.55.030 Additional uses.

The following uses require approval of a permit in accord with Chapter 18.75:

A.    Commercial recreational uses (18.75);

B.    On-site hazardous waste treatment storage facilities subject to state siting criteria (18.75.050). (Ord. 1917 § 1 (part), 1997).

18.55.040 Development standards.

Development standards in public facility (PF) districts are as follows:

A.    Minimum Setbacks. Front: none, or ten feet if abutting a residential district; side and rear: none, unless abutting a residential district, then twenty feet.

B.    Maximum building height: forty-five feet. Structures higher than forty-five feet require approval of a conditional use permit in accord with Chapter 18.75.

C.    Off-street parking in accord with Chapter 18.63.

D.    Signs in accord with Chapter 18.72.

E.    Site Review. Site review in accord with Chapter 18.75 is required for each new use and expansion of an existing use.

F.    Solid Waste Receptacles. All solid waste receptacles must be surrounded on at least three sides by a minimum five-foot high sight-obscuring fence or wall. Such enclosures and receptacles are not permitted within required street frontage areas. (Ord. 1917 § 1 (part), 1997).
