15.48.010 International Fire Code adopted. Revised 5/24

The International Fire Code, 2021 Edition, as amended by the Washington State Building Code Council, together with Appendices A, B, C and D, published by the International Code Council, and as amended by the Washington State Building Code Council in Chapter 51-54A WAC as the same exists now or may hereafter be amended, is hereby adopted as the fire code for the City, with "City of Quincy" inserted at Section 101.1. 15.48.030 Scope.

The provisions of the International Fire Code shall regulate and govern the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises, and shall provide for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore. 15.48.050 Storage of certain liquids. Revised 5/24

The limits on the storage of certain liquids in certain sections of the International Fire Code, 2021 Edition, are as follows:

A. Section 3204.3.1.1: Storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is prohibited in all residential zones;

B. Section 3404.2.9.5.1: Storage of Class I and Class II liquids in above-ground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited in all residential zones; and

C. Section 3406.2.4.4: Storage of Class I and Class II liquids in above-ground tanks is prohibited in all residential zones; and

D. Section 5806.2: Storage of cryogenic fluids in stationary containers outside of buildings is prohibited in all residential zones; and

E. Section 6104.2: Within the limits established by law restricting the storage of liquified petroleum gas for the protection of heavily populated or congested areas, within all residential zones, the aggregated capacity of any one installation shall not exceed a water capacity of one thousand gallons.
