20C.30.30 Special Residential Regulations.

20C.30.30-010 Purpose.

Special residential regulations are intended to fulfill two purposes. First, these regulations pertain to residential development that in some way varies from the site requirement rules described in RCDG 20C.30.25. These special residential rules are intended to anticipate minor variations from the site requirement rules that are sought in order to achieve a zero lot line, multiplex, manufactured/mobile home, or senior housing development. For regulations governing significant or combined variations from site requirements not covered in this section, see the rules for the Green Building and Green Infrastructure Incentive Program in RCDG 20C.30.57. The second purpose of these special residential regulations is to spell out the rules for accessory activities that are allowed in residential zones and related to residential uses. These regulations are intended to aid residents in activities, such as building fences, establishing a home business, storing materials outdoors, renting rooms within a residence, or creating an accessory dwelling unit.
