20C.30.40 Accessory Structures.

20C.30.40-010 Purpose.

The purpose of the accessory structures provisions are to allow for the opportunity to add additional structures to residential property for the purpose of adding storage space, work space, or other uses that would not qualify it as a dwelling unit. (Ord. 1901)

20C.30.40-020 Applicability.

Accessory structures are allowed in all residential zones of the City, as an accessory use to an existing dwelling unit. (Ord. 1901)

20C.30.40-030 Requirements.

(1)    Height. Accessory structures may not exceed 22 feet in height.

(2)    Size. Total square footage for accessory structures may not exceed 60 percent of the ground floor square footage for the primary dwelling unit.

(3)    Building Separation. Unless the International Building Code or International Fire Code dictate otherwise, there shall be no minimum building separation for accessory structures. (Ord. 1901)
