15.10.010 Building demolition conditions.

Applications for demolition permits shall be reviewed by the planning commission, with notice provided to neighboring property owners within 200 feet and a public comment period. The public comment period is up to one month in the residential zones and up to one year in the commercial central zone. Buildings smaller than the minimum size for a construction permit do not require a demolition permit. [Ord. 961 § 1, 2004.]

15.10.020 Demolition fee.

Any person or persons desiring to demolish a building in the city of Roslyn, Washington, after obtaining planning commission approval shall first deposit the sum of $300.00 for buildings to be demolished in the residential zones or $3,000 for buildings in all other zones in cash or a certified check made payable to the city of Roslyn with the clerk of said city and within 60 days thereafter shall complete the demolition of such building and the clearing of all debris from the premises in a proper manner, and upon compliance with the above requirements, the said deposit shall be returned to said person or persons, and in the event of noncompliance with the above requirements, the said deposit shall be automatically forfeited into the general fund of the city of Roslyn without prejudice to any other rights and remedies available to the city of Roslyn under its ordinances and city code. 15.10.030 Penalty.

Any violation of this chapter shall be deemed to be a gross misdemeanor, which shall not be exclusive of any other rights and remedies available to the city of Roslyn under its ordinances and city code. [Ord. 961 § 1, 2004; Ord. 574 § 2, 1982.]
