2.84.010 Participation in State Employees’ Retirement System.

The County council of San Juan County, Washington, a political subdivision of the state of Washington and having in excess of five employees, has authorized and approved their membership and participation in the State Employees’ Retirement System, pursuant to Chapter 41.40 RCW as amended, and has further authorized the expenditure of the necessary funds, after due appropriation is made, for its proportionate share in participation in the system. 2.84.020 Washington Law Enforcement Officers’ and Fire Fighters’ Retirement System.

A. Adoption. The Washington Law Enforcement Officers’ and Fire Fighters’ Retirement System Act, Chapter 41.26 RCW, is adopted.

B. Implementation. The County council is empowered to carry on and do all that is necessary to implement the provisions of Chapter 41.26 RCW, on a Countywide basis. (Ord. 43-2007 § 3; Res. 73-1970. Formerly 2.36.020, 2.36.030)
