ELECTRIC PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT TAX

3.38.010 Tax imposed on districts—Rate.

Each public utility district organized and existing under the laws of the state of Washington, operating works, plants, or facilities for the distribution and sale of electricity in the city of Shelton, shall pay to the city of Shelton a tax of six percent on the gross revenues derived by each such public utility district from the sale of electricity, within the city of Shelton, exclusive of the revenues derived from the sale of electricity for the purpose of resale. 3.38.020 Submission of monthly statement.

Each such public utility district coming within the purview of this chapter shall, on or before the twentieth day of each succeeding month, transmit to the city treasurer-clerk a statement of its gross revenues for the preceding fiscal month, derived from the sale of electricity within the city of Shelton, exclusive of the revenues derived from the sale of electricity for the purposes of resale, and accompany such statement with the amount of the tax herein levied and provided for.
