ME MEDICAL/EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT

20.22.040 Lot, yard, and open space requirements.
20.22.010 Intent.
The medical/educational (ME) district is intended to provide for the recognition of parcels and facilities currently in use, or planned for, where the primary function is to provide services including public and private educational institutions as well as public and private health care facilities. This district is intended to provide high levels of pedestrian and transit-oriented service and a safe, pleasant environment for education and health care. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.020 Permitted uses.
Uses permitted in the land use matrix, Section 20.06.030 of this title. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.025 Accessory uses.
A. Retail, food, and drug sales incidental to and supportive of a permitted use;
B. Laboratories and research facilities incidental to a permitted use in compliance with applicable city and state regulations;
C. Storage, processing, or use of hazardous substances incidental to a permitted use in compliance with applicable city and state regulations;
D. Hazardous waste treatment and storage facilities incidental to a permitted use in compliance with applicable city and state regulations. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.030 Conditional uses.
Conditional uses as listed in the land use matrix, Section 20.06.030 of this title, require a permit as provided in Chapter 20.44 of this title, and subject to applicable conditions as found in that chapter. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.040 Lot, yard, and open space requirements.
A. Minimum lot size: none required.
B. Front yard: ten feet, minimum.
C. Side yard: five feet, ten feet on a flanking side street.
D. Rear yard: ten feet, minimum.
E. Maximum building coverage: thirty-five percent.
F. Maximum lot coverage: sixty-five percent.

20.22.050 Maximum height.
Maximum height for the ME district shall be as follows: thirty-five feet for buildings, structures, and appurtenant facilities. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.060 Sign requirements.
Signs shall be constructed and maintained in accordance with Chapter 20.38 of this title. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.070 Off-street parking.
Parking shall meet the requirements of Chapter 20.40 of this title. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
20.22.080 Landscaping.
Landscaping shall meet all requirements of Chapter 20.60 of this title. (Ord. 1462-1296 § 2 (part), 1996)
