2.30.010 Political activity by city employees – Prohibited when.

A. No appointive officer or employee of the city shall in any manner exert his influence or induce other officers or employees of the city or the general public to favor any particular candidate for public office, or to favor either side of any pending issue, be the same national, state, county, city or with respect to any political subdivision of any of the aforesaid mentioned, or any other political subdivision, during the working hours of such appointive officer or employee, or while such appointive officer or employee is using equipment of the city.

B. Any appointive officer or employee of the city who violates the provisions of subsection (A) of this section shall be discharged. (Ord. 844 §§ 1, 2, 1962).

2.30.020 Leave of absence during candidacy.
