COUNCIL MEETINGS

2.04.030 Failure to attend meetings.
2.04.010 Time of meetings.
The city council shall hold regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of every month, beginning at the time of seven p.m. (Ord. 851, 1983: Ord. 135 § 1, 1904)
2.04.020 Place of meetings.
The city council shall hold its regular meetings in the building known as the city hall, situated on lot 16, block 17, Johnson’s addition to the city of Sumas. (Ord. 146 § 1, 1905)
2.04.030 Failure to attend meetings.
Any member of the city council absent from any regular or special meeting of the council, duly called, at the roll call thereof, without good and approved excuse, shall be fined for the first offense in the sum of one dollar, if absent from the next meeting consecutive to the first offense, shall be fined in the sum of two dollars and if absent from a third successive meeting, his office shall be declared vacant.
