SENIOR CITIZEN UTILITY DISCOUNT

2.104.010 Discount basis.
The senior discount for sewer charges shall be based on one hundred fifty percent of the federal poverty level as established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and updated each year by the U.S. Census Bureau. (Ord. 1778 § 2, 2020; Ord. 1321 § 2, 2000)
2.104.020 Eligibility.
All persons age sixty-two or older are eligible to apply for the senior discount. Proof of adjusted gross income for the prior year shall be used as criteria to establish eligibility for the discount. (Ord. 1321 § 3, 2000)
2.104.030 Allowable discount.
The allowable discount shall be set at ten percent for sewer. (Ord. 1778 § 3, 2020; Ord. 1321 § 4, 2000)
