13.60.010 Barricades.
The side sewer contractor before beginning in a public area shall have at the site sufficient barricades to properly protect the work. The barricades shall be illuminated during the night time hours with a minimum of four flares or flashing signals. (Ord. 699 § 16.01, 1972)
13.60.020 Protection of workmen.
During the pipe laying operation, a ditch pump shall be available at the site. The contractor shall have stock piled, within the city and immediately available for use, sufficient shoring to adequately protect workmen where unstable ground conditions are encountered. (Ord. 699 § 16.02, 1972)
13.60.030 Compliance with laws.
In addition to the foregoing provisions, the side sewer contractor shall comply with all laws, ordinances and regulations of the state, county or city, relating to the safety and protection of the area affected. A flagman must be posted wherever work is underway within the public right-of-way. (Ord. 699 § 16.03, 1972)
