15.28.010 Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Plumbing Code Standards.

The editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Plumbing Code Standards indicated in SMC 15.02.010 are adopted. [Ord. 1889 § 3, 1995; Ord. 1527 § 1, 1985; Ord. 1469 § 12, 1984; 1956 Code § 4-202.]

At least one copy of the adopted editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk. [Ord. 1469 § 13, 1984; 1956 Code § 4-203.]

15.28.030 Administrative authority – Designated.

Whenever the term “administrative authority” is used in this chapter of the Uniform Plumbing Code, it shall be construed to mean the Building Inspector or other person so authorized and designated by the City Manager. [1956 Code § 4-204.]

15.28.080 Permit – Issuance restrictions.

A. No permit shall be issued to any person to do or cause to be done any plumbing or drainage work regulated by this chapter except to a person holding a valid, unexpired and unrevoked permit or certificate as described in the aforesaid State statutory enactment, except when and as otherwise provided in this chapter.

B. Any permit required by this chapter may be issued to any person to do any plumbing or drainage work regulated by this chapter on property and buildings; provided, that any such person is a bona fide owner of such property or buildings.

C. No plumbing or drainage work shall be commenced in any building or premises until a permit to do such work shall have been first obtained.

D. Any permit required by this chapter may be issued to any person to install any house sewer or private sewage disposal system regulated by this chapter; provided, such person holds a valid, unexpired and unrevoked permit or certificate as described in the State statutory enactment.
