8.16.010 Overnight use.

Overnight camping and the parking of trailers and campers in History Park, Chief Tonasket Park, and all other city parks, when the park is closed as provided in TMC 8.16.040, is prohibited; provided, however, that upon prior written permission of the city council, overnight camping, tenting and parking of trailers and campers overnight in History Park, Chief Tonasket Park, and all other city parks may be permitted by organized groups. 8.16.020 Littering or boisterous behavior prohibited.

Any person or group of persons found to be littering the grounds of said park, by deposit of trash, garbage, or other waste material thereon in any place other than receptacles furnished for such purpose, or found to be conducting themselves in a loud or boisterous manner, so as to interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of such premises by other persons, may be ordered to leave the premises, and remove his or their vehicles, or equipment, immediately. Such order may be given by any member of the city police department and failure to obey such order shall be a violation of this chapter. (Ord. 167 § 3, 1968).

8.16.030 Animals prohibited.

No animals shall be allowed in History Park. It is unlawful for any person to allow or permit any animals owned by him or her or within their possession or under their control to run at large in any park or to enter on the playing fields of any park, including, but not limited to soccer fields and baseball or softball fields, or on any other grassy area of the park. All dogs or other pets or domestic animals must be kept on a leash no longer than eight feet in length and shall be under control at all times while in the city park area. In the event that any animal deposits fecal matter on the grounds of any park, the person who is at the time the custodian of the animal shall forthwith clean up and properly dispose of such fecal matter. 8.16.040 Evening closure provisions.

A. History Park, Chief Tonasket Park, and all other city parks, will be closed each evening at dark and remain closed until the following morning, unless such closure is extended by permission of the city on a case-by-case basis for a special event.

B. Any person or persons using the parks may be ordered to leave the parks premises at the time of closure.

C. Any person who shall enter or remain in the parks during any such closures shall be deemed to be a trespasser and any person violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed to have committed a civil infraction and shall be subject to the imposition of penalties as set forth in Chapter 1.08 TMC. 8.16.050 Use of gazebos.

No person or group may occupy or use any gazebo within any of the city parks for more than two hours in any day without a permit from the city. (Ord. 779 § 3, 2017).
