2.10.010 Office created – Appointment – Powers and duties.

The office of the city manager is created and established. The city manager shall be appointed, bonded, and shall perform the functions of his office in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 35A.13 RCW. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as derogating from the power of the city council to establish policy, to direct and supervise the affairs of the city as required by law, and to create or abolish departments or permanent positions of city government, or to exercise any other powers delegated to it by law. (Ord. 2004-4 § 1, 2004).

2.10.020 Officers to cooperate.

It shall be the duty of all officers, employees and agents of the city, including the city attorney, to cooperate with and assist the city manager in administering the affairs of the city most efficiently, economically and harmoniously, so far as may be consistent with their duties and obligations to the city. (Ord. 2004-4 § 1, 2004).

2.10.030 Authority to execute agreements, contracts and leases.

The city manager is authorized to execute agreements, contracts and leases with an annual value of $20,000 or less; provided, that sufficient funds required for such appropriations have been budgeted by the council. (Ord. 2004-4 § 1, 2004).
