2.55.010 Location of meetings, remote meetings and posting of meeting agendas.

The location of meetings of the town council of the town of Twisp, Washington, shall be the Council Chamber located in the Town Hall situated on the northeast corner of the intersection of Glover Street and Third Avenue in Twisp, Washington.

If a local, state, or federal emergency has been declared and the town determines it cannot hold an in-person meeting, the meeting may be held fully remote. If required by the emergency, the town may either fully prohibit or limit in-person public attendance at the meeting. If the meeting is held remotely where the public attendance is limited or prohibited, the town will provide a cost-free option to attend in real time, either by telephone or another readily available alternative.

For all meetings, regardless of whether an emergency has been declared or not, any members of the town council and/or the mayor may attend such meeting remotely by telephone or other electronic means that allows for real-time verbal communication.

The town shall post the regular meeting agendas on the town’s website no later than 24 hours in advance of any town council meeting. (Ord. 788 § 1, 2022; Ord. 193 § 1, 1975)

2.55.020 Day and time.

The regular meetings of the town council shall be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, unless such day is a legal holiday, and shall commence at the hour of 5:30 p.m., local time. (Ord. 702 § 1, 2016; Ord. 693 § 1, 2015; Ord. 193 § 2, 1975)

2.55.030 Special meetings.

Special meetings of the town council may be called from time to time in accordance with the laws of the state of Washington relating to the calling of special meetings of municipal corporations. (Ord. 193 § 3, 1975)
